All about the event

Welcome to the 29th running of the Point to Pinnacle (P2P). The first event held in 1995 saw 56 people on the start line, in 2024 we will see 3000 starters in the race to the Pinnacle and another 1500 who will take on the 10km race to the Pub. The P2P is now regarded by many as the toughest road half marathon in the world, and for good reason, with just over 1271m of ascending, gradients above 10% and extreme changes in climate and weather conditions. The event is a challenge of the human spirit and allows people of all ages and abilities to be involved through our walk or run. It is now one of Tasmania’s iconic events that draws many people from interstate and internationally each year. We would like to welcome all our participants to Tasmania and to this year’s event and know that you will have an absolutely wonderful experience.
